NYC’s Hottest Emerging Designers Showcase Their Fun, Fresh Designs

Fashion, fine art, jewelry and photography: the latest collections open to the public at CMG’s
Spring Sensation: Young Designers Showcase – 2003

New York, NY, April 24, 2003 – Concept Management Group proudly presents its seventh Young Designers Showcase, featuring works by 30 of New York City’s most innovative, emerging designers, artists and photographers. Sponsored by Campari, and with the assistance of creative director, Emily Welsch, CMG offers the latest in fashion, fine art, jewelry and photography in a chic downtown gallery.

With a record of successful events, the Young Designers Showcase was created to give new artists the unique opportunity to exhibit and sell their work while networking with fellow artists and the artistic community. The ‘Spring Sensation’ showcase will be held from April 24 – April 28, 2003 at 427 Broadway, 5th Floor (between Howard and Canal Streets) and will be open to the public from 1pm to 8pm daily, with a drinks reception between 6pm and 8pm. The space, located at the intersection of SOHO, Tribeca and Chinatown, is an artists’ loft space, along with a front-end gallery, which is shared by various artists from different media. A fashion show, organized by Emily Welsch & Courtney Kessel, will be held on April 25, 2003 at 7:30pm.

“The showcase represents a unique opportunity for up-and-coming designers to gain the exposure they need to succeed as professionals, both locally and internationally,” comments Brad Gishen, founder of Concept Management Group. “Our goal is to provide a platform that will help young designers connect the worlds of business and design in a very competitive and unpredictable market.”

The distinctive talent of each designer, as well as the divergence of their collective work, reflects the diversity and multi-cultural environment that pulsates in New York City, which is the core of CMG’s mission. The designers represent countries as far away as Austria, Hungary, Israel, South Africa and Turkey as well as U.S. cities in New Jersey, New York and Washington.
